About me:

I am a proud native of Idaho, born and raised. My healthcare journey began in 2006 when I enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. During my service, I was assigned to the Marine Corps infantry and stationed at both Camp Lejeune, NC, and Camp Pendleton, CA. My experiences took me to various locations around the world, including Afghanistan, which lead to an early retirement from the military in 2013. After my military service, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northwest Nazarene University. I then began my nursing career at the Boise VA Medical Center, where I gained experience in a variety of areas. After some time and reflection, I felt a calling to make a broader impact in healthcare. This led me to enroll in the Master of Science in Nursing program at Gonzaga University, specializing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am also actively involved with the Wyakin Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting veterans as they pursue education and career paths. The foundation has played a significant role in my own professional journey and I am deeply committed to its meaningful mission and purpose.

Throughout my career, I developed a deep passion for mental health, driven by my own experiences of resilience and perseverance. I came to understand the powerful dynamic of being both a caregiver and someone receiving care—particularly from those who have shared similar experiance. This unique perspective has shaped my commitment to supporting others on their own journeys to healing and well-being. I have made a personal vow never to let my challenges define me or overpower my life. Instead, I am driven by a passion to help others overcome their own obstacles, pushing forward with resilience through discomfort and adversity.
